Downtown Oslo Walking Tour

Your tour day will start with a walking tour of the Central Oslo
Our first stop by the impressive Oslo Opera House situated right at the head of the Oslo Fjord will amaze you by the stunning beauty of this modern building decorated with snow-white Italian marble
After a must-do photo shoot your tour guide will invite you for a walk down Karl Johans Gate, the main street of Oslo with many important attractions along the way. The Stortinget or the Parliament of Norway situated in an eclectic yellow-stone building, the University of Oslo, the Neo-Gothic St. Olav Cathedral, the National Theater, and the Royal Palace, the official residence of the Norwegian Monarch
Your tour guide will then take you inside the City Hall or Rådhuset, where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded

Vigeland Sculpture Park

Your private vehicle will collect you at the end of the walking tour and take you together with your tour guide to the Vigeland Sculpture Park
With over 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron on display, this open-air exhibit showcases the lifework of Gustav Vigeland, a famous Norwegian sculptor
Your tour guide will take you for a walk down the park telling you stories about the sculptures and their creator

11:30 – 13:00

Viking Ship Museum

Located in Bygdøy, a peninsula near the city center often called the "Museum Island", the Viking Ship Museum houses three authentic Viking ships that were found during several archeological expeditions
Of particular interest is a completely whole, richly decorated 1,200-years old Oseberg Ship that was excavated from the largest ship burial known to mankind
At the end of the tour you will enjoy gorgeous views from the peninsula and, if time permits, stroll this popular recreational area offering beaches, nature trails and many restaurants

Return to Ship or Stay in the city
Following your tour you will have a choice:

to extend your stay in the city on your own (your tour guide will provide you ample instructions on how to get back to your ship by taxi on your own), or
have your guide and driver take you back to the ship (so as to finish your 4-hour tour by your ship)
