Meeting near your ship in Warnemunde, modern air-conditioned bus transfer to Berlin

10:30 – 13:00

West Side Berlin

Your Berlin drive city tour begins when you meet your tour guide near the Charlottenburg Palace. Continuing down the beautiful Kurfürstendamm Street your bus will bring you to a photo stop by the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Memorial church. A sightseeing drive through the Tiergarten, Berlin's central and largest park, and past the Victory Column will bring you to the Reichstag, the seat of the German Parliament.
You sightseeing day then continues as a walking tour as you go through the world-famous Brandenburg Gate on the way to the Paris Square, the memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, and to the site of Hitler's Bunker before getting back on the bus.
The Potzdamer Platz is the next stop from where the drive tour will continue to the former building of SS and Gestapo Headquarters that houses the Topography of Terror Museum nowadays. Here you get an excellent photo opportunity of the The Berlin Wall in its original position. Checkpoint Charlie is the last stop of the tour in Western Berlin.

Downtown Berlin

Your drive city tour then takes you to the heart of Downtown Berlin - the Gendarmenmarkt. Many Berliners believe this to be the most beautiful place in the entire Germany. It offers a uniquely harmonious architectural blend of two different Cathedrals (one French and one German), a Concert House and a monument to the German poet Friedrich Schiller.
Next along the way is the Bebelplatz (also known as the Book Burning Square) that saw 20,000 or so books burnt by the Nazis on this spot on May 10, 1933. While there be sure to spot the Library, a subterranean art exhibit located in the middle of the square and featuring many empty bookshelves as a reminder to future generations.
Your tour will continue to the Museum Island. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this island is home to world-renowned Pergamon Museum, 'Old' Masters Gallery, 'New' Egyptology Museum and Bode Museum.

East Side Gallery

Your Berlin experience will not be complete without a visit to the The East Side Gallery. This is a world-famous collection of paitings on the Berlin Wall that was created by hundreds of artists from all over the world who arrived in the city after the fall of the Wall in November 1989.
